Allergy Policy

Dear Customers,

November 1, 2024

1. Information for customers with food allergies

We obtain allergy information from manufacturers and, in principle, provide special menus (low-allergen menus) that remove as many of the eight specified ingredients as possible for customers with food allergies.
If you have an allergy to any of the eight specified ingredients, please let us know at least three days before your visit. We cannot accommodate requests made after that date.

*Although cooking utensils are thoroughly washed, there is a possibility that trace amounts of allergens may be mixed into the food depending on the kitchen environment. Therefore, we would like to inform you that our hotel is unable to provide food that is completely free of allergens.

*For those with food allergies to shrimp, crab, wheat, eggs, or milk, we will change the main ingredient to another food ingredient. However, we will not remove any trace amounts of seasonings or binders, or take any other measures other than those mentioned above.

Regarding ingredients that contain substances that cause allergies (allergens), the Food Labeling Act requires or recommends that manufacturers (including our suppliers of ingredients) label them as follows:

8 specific ingredients *Mandatory labeling

Shrimp, crab, wheat, buckwheat, eggs, milk, peanuts, walnuts

2. Our response to food allergies

  1. We are unable to accommodate requests to change the cooking method or specify ingredients.
  2. If your food allergy symptoms are severe or if you request complete removal of the allergen, we may be forced to refuse to serve you food in order to prevent contamination.
  3. Customers with food allergies may bring their own safe food (pre-packaged, frozen, etc.) and eat or drink at our restaurants. Please let us know in advance.
Guests are welcome to purchase their own retort pouch foods in advance, and if they wish, we can also store any retort pouch foods they bring with them, which will be heated and served in our hotel kitchen.
Retort pouch foods that can be brought in are limited to unopened items that have been sealed by heat fusion and sterilized by pressure heating.
Please refrain from bringing in food that you have prepared yourself due to food hygiene management reasons.
  4. We are unable to accommodate requests for ingredients other than the eight specified raw materials, as it is difficult to fully grasp allergen information.Similarly, we are unable to accommodate requests for likes and dislikes of ingredients, or religious or cultural taboos.

  5. Regarding food served at the buffet venue, food allergy signs (listing eight specific ingredients) will be posted within the venue. Please refer to this before making your decision regarding food and drink.
  6. We are unable to accommodate allergies when providing catering (in-room dining).

Please make your decision regarding use of the facility after consulting with your doctor and taking into consideration your own physical condition.

■Notes

  • Menu contents change depending on the season and availability, so we cannot provide menus in advance.
  • We cannot accommodate requests for more or less seasoning (less salt, stronger seasoning).
  • For those with food allergies to shrimp, crab, wheat, eggs, or milk, we will change the main ingredient to another food ingredient. However, we will not remove any trace amounts of seasonings or binders, or take any other measures other than those mentioned above.
  • We do not accept chopped food.
  • We cannot accommodate changes to the food content based on likes and dislikes.
  • We place the safety of our customers first, and if we determine that it is difficult to provide an allergy-friendly menu, we may refuse to serve the food to you. Thank you for your understanding.

■ Acquisition of personal information regarding food allergies

For customers who wish to use a menu suitable for food allergies, we will obtain information in advance about the names of ingredients that need to be removed as allergens and the symptoms of food allergies via appropriate means such as the web, fax, or telephone.
*Personal information obtained from customers will not be used for any purpose other than providing food allergy-friendly menus and contacting or providing information to medical institutions in the unlikely event that a customer experiences symptoms of a food allergy at our facilities.
