Lake Hamana Bay Street

This is a walking path where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Hamana. Along the lakeside, there are inns, a Ferris wheel, the Okusayama Observatory, the Kanzanji Ropeway, and romantic spots such as the "Arch of the Star of Happiness," known as a sacred place for lovers. On sunny days, the contrast between the blue sky and the lake is striking, making it a popular spot for taking commemorative photos.

Shibuki Bridge

This is Lake Hamana's signature photo spot. The vermilion-painted bridge creates a beautiful contrast with the blue of the lake and sky, and is known for its spectacular red glow, especially at dusk, reflected on the lake's surface. It's the perfect place to visit after a stroll or meal along Tateyamadera Monzen-dori Street, and is also a popular spot for taking commemorative photos.

Kanzanji Temple and the temple street

At Kanzanji Temple, you can enjoy a stroll with your beloved dog, and the street in front of the temple is dotted with pet-friendly restaurants and souvenir shops. The stunning views of Lake Hamana and a relaxing soak in Kanzanji Onsen are also part of the temple's appeal. This is the perfect place to create special memories with your dog, enjoying the historic temple and local cuisine.

Lake Hamana Pleasure Boat

There are regular and special cruises that allow you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of each season, and the evening views from the lake and sunset cruises are particularly popular. The boats are fully air-conditioned and heated, so you can enjoy a comfortable trip, and you can even feed the seagulls. There are also pet-friendly cruises, so you can spend a special time with your family, friends, and beloved dog.

Kanzanji Ropeway

At 723 meters long, the Kanzanji Ropeway is the only one in Japan that crosses a lake. You can ride with your dog as long as he's in a cage or crate that fits his entire body but doesn't expose his face. The approximately four-minute ride in the air offers a 360-degree view of the magnificent scenery of Lake Hamana, and the spectacular views at sunset are especially not to be missed.
