The old townscape of Hida Takayama is a popular tourist spot where you can experience the atmosphere of the Edo period. In the area known as "Sanmachi Street," townhouses with latticed windows and sake breweries line the streets, creating a landscape that makes you feel as if you've traveled back in time. You can stroll around the area while enjoying local delicacies such as Hida beef and mitarashi dango.

Hida no Sato is an outdoor museum located in Takayama, Gifu prefecture, where visitors can experience the traditional rural culture and architecture of the Hida region. In particular, more than 30 gassho-zukuri houses have been relocated and restored to recreate traditional rural life. Events and lighting displays are held throughout the four seasons, and the winter lighting is especially fantastic and popular.

Hida Great Limestone Cave, located in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, is one of Japan's leading tourist limestone caves, and a spot where you can experience the mysteries of nature. Located at an altitude of about 900 meters, it is known as the highest limestone cave in Japan. The cave is about 800 meters long and is fantastically lit up, giving you the feeling of being on an adventure.

Hirayu Great Falls is a magnificent waterfall located in Okuhida Onsenkyo, Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, and is known as one of the three most famous waterfalls in Hida. With a drop of approximately 64 meters and a width of approximately 6 meters, the powerful scenery attracts visitors. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the waterfall in each of the four seasons. In spring, the waterfall is decorated with fresh greenery, and in fall, it is brilliantly illuminated by the changing colors of the autumn leaves. In winter, the waterfall freezes over, creating a fantastic ice fall. The "Hirayu Great Falls Ice Fall Festival" is held in February, and the illuminated ice fall is a highlight of the festival.

Red Nakabashi Bridge is a beautiful bridge that spans the Miya River in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, and is a symbolic sightseeing spot in Hida Takayama. The vermilion bridge blends in with the surrounding nature, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery in each of the four seasons. In spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and the contrast between the gorgeous stalls and cherry blossoms is especially beautiful during the "Spring Takayama Festival. The bridge is also sometimes illuminated, creating a fantastic atmosphere at night. Historically interesting, the bridge was remodeled in its current form in 1965.

"Below Freezing Forest" is a fantastical world of ice where you can enjoy the spectacular scenery that can only be seen in winter. The ice forest, which began to be created in 1971 by taking advantage of the winter temperatures of -10 degrees Celsius, is lit up in blue during the day and in blue, red, and green at night, and is a popular event that has been running for over 30 years.

Nakabashi Bridge is lit up all year round, but its beauty on a snowy night is exceptional. In the silence of the night, the red Nakabashi Bridge appears fantastically lit up among the gently falling snow. Be careful not to lose track of time and catch a cold.

Hida-no-Sato is located about 10 minutes by car from the city center. It is a spot where precious old Hida houses, including gassho-style houses, have been relocated and restored, and where nostalgic rural life and seasonal events that have been passed down in Hida since ancient times are recreated. Hida-no-Sato is lit up every winter.
The lights reflect off the accumulated snow and the frozen pond in the center, creating a fantastic atmosphere that can only be seen at this time of year, making it a winter spectacle. The snow-covered Gassho-style houses are very tasteful, and their appearance floating on the winter night is mystical. Another great thing about the park is that you can bring your pets with you.

The "Shin Hirayu Onsen Taruma Kanekoori Light-up" will be held in the area around Taruma Falls and Waterside Park, a famous spot in Shin Hirayu. This ice artwork, created from the natural beauty of Oku-Hida, is a picturesque sight no matter where you look. You will be overwhelmed by the breathtaking beauty and see a mystical landscape like nothing you have ever experienced before.

The trees in the walking area along the Kamata River in Tochio Onsen in the Okuhida Onsen area are brightly lit up with LEDs, creating a fantastical atmosphere reminiscent of cherry blossoms in full bloom. This is a limited-time event where you can enjoy the unique beauty of the illuminations, enveloped in gentle light.
